When your receiving a diagnosis it certainly helps when it’s delivered in such a calm clear way, Mr Cutting explained the plan of treatment that the surgery would be done as quickly as he could manage ( it was within 7 days) and the next steps he was reassuring and kind it was late in the day I was probably his last patient but he didn’t rush he made sure I understood and introduced me to the team who would be looking after me on the “journey “ an outstanding doctor the NHS at its best

I was surprised to find that I had a small abnormality in my left kidney and grateful for the explanation and care shown by Mr Cutting. It is with relief that I have now been discharged from the Urology department as the abnormality does not appear to have altered. Judith John

From diagnosis through treatment and now into follow up there have been no delays. All information has been efficiently shared with me. Mr Cutting has been patient in helping myself and my wife understand the diagnosis and treatment options. Mr Cutting ensured that I heard (I have hearing problems) and understood my diagnosis and treatment.

A brief message to thank Colin Cutting for his thorough and meticulous explanation of where I am at this moment with my treatment. I have to say that it is strange for this type of consultation to be such a pleasant chat, but he fully informed me of what the next likely steps will be and as I mentioned, it must be for the better!! Seems to me that there are many bad news stories about the NHS but I have to say my experience has been exemplary and I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff members I have encountered and would like to pass on my gratitude. THANK YOU NHS

Mr Cutting is excellent. Caring, clearly spoken, tackles all issues in a straightforward way and so putting me at ease. My initial dealings with Urology were really poor and frustration but Mt Cutting very quickly restored my confidence. Just a shame his department have a rubbish system for making appointments. That is not a reflection on those involved but the system they are required to use
